I am fortunate to live near Cartmel in the English Lake District National Park, which provides me with endless inspiration in every changing season.
Continually searching for a different way of looking, I love finding beauty and opportunities in even the most challenging or mundane situations.
This website is currently under construction and soon there will be galleries of my photographs taken in the English Lake District, Cumbria and North Lancashire. There will also be galleries showing equine and canine events, country shows and private commissions.
I am happy to travel anywhere to do a photo shoot of a special animal or event.
There will also a section dedicated to animals that need new homes as part of the Rescue Me project.
The Rescue Me concept is simple. It’s the brainchild of my photographer friend, Andy Biggar. A group of us professional photographers – from as far away as the USA to Europe – give our time and photos for free and we photograph animals at rescue centres. The centres then use our photos of dogs, cats, horses and assorted rabbits, chickens, and goats playing and having fun.
Ultimately if our photos help attract a new human family to adopt a pet, we have succeeded!
I regularly work with Tracey Venter at Cartmel’s Black Horses Friesian Stud. I photograph people enjoying countryside rides and carriage drives as part of the extremely popular Original Friesian Experience.
